What is SaaS?
Software as a Service (SaaS, usually pronounced as 'sass') is a software deployment model in which an application is used as a service that can meet the needs of multiple users at the same time. SaaS is
a low cost means for businesses to get the best use out of enterprise software without having to worry about high cost IT requirements since it is generally hosted by the vendor. The SaaS model enables every customer to benefit from the vendor's latest technological features without the disruptions and costs associated with software updates and upgrades.

Virtually all software has the potential to fit the SaaS model, thereby offering companies alternatives to long standing enterprise applications that are hosted on premise which can be costly to acquire, deploy, and maintain.
What is CMMS?
Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a software package designed to help maintenance engineers
operate more efficiently (being able to schedule and assign tasks to specific pieces of equipment and particular engineers) and help management make economical decisions (such as seeing if it is cost effective to continue repairing a piece of equipment versus replacing it). CMMS can be web based where it is hosted by the vendor company or server based in which the company purchasing the software hosts it on their own private servers.
