SETS Workstation Features

From here serial numbers can be copied, grouped, researched and reported. Automated serial number entry into a billing system ensures consistant and accurate Adding, Transfers and Diagnostic hits. The Count Reconciliation feature will compare scanned serial numbers against what the billing system shows and provide detailed reports in serveral output options.The SETS Workstation is where the productivity of mobile scanning meets efficiency.

Host Update Screen

This screen is the main staging area in SETS. It shows you everything that was scanned on the handheld and shows you the work that is about to be processed into the billing system. The split level screen shows you a lot of information in one glance.

History

SETS saves you time by keeping a running log of all your work in history so you can go back later and work with the same serial numbers again. Using this screen will reduce the amount of redundant scanning.

Containers

Creating containers allows any equipment to be grouped together into bundles. Scanning only one container barcode instead of scanning each separate item saves countless hours of work and is a far more accurate way of working with equipment in various (bulk) processing stages.

Tech/Location Inquiry

By running a Tech/Location inquiry from SETS into your billing system, you can easily determine what equipment is currently assigned to various location/tech buffers. Instead of manually querying every location buffer individually, SETS automates this by running the query in a batch process—saving you time!

Count Reconciliation

For accurate, serialized inventory reports, just scan everything in your physical inventory and let SETS compare this to your billing system. SETS will automate this process and create a report that’s easy to interpret.

Custom Reports

 It’s easy to search your SETS History for information. Simply run one of the 28 detailed (serial number) or summary reports included in the Custom Report Writer utility. It’s not called a Custom Report Writer for nothing; If you don’t find the report you are looking for, make one!

 SETS Handheld Features

Mobile handhelds eliminate the manual labor of moving equipment to computers with tethered scanners. Printing reciepts and labels directly from a SETS handheld connection means printing wherever you want without a PC. SETS further boosts productivity by including handheld features like easy serial number review/editing and duplicate scan alert. 
 

Main Menu

This screen is a window to all of your work, whether it’s adding new equipment to the billing system, transferring equipment to another location, conducting a monthly inventory, sending hits to a box, or building containers. Organized by buttons, these options are easy to find and easy to see.

Scan/Key Serial Numbers

The main handheld scanning screen displays information about the equipment being scanned. Barcodes are stored and handled “in bulk” for later processing into the billing system..

Duplicate Scan Alert

SETS warns you if the same serial number was scanned within the same transaction.

Manually Key in Serial Numbers

If a barcode is damaged, it may be manually typed into the handheld into the S/N field.

Reviewing Serial Numbers

The Review Detail screen shows you what you have already scanned. From here, serial numbers can be reviewed, edited and deleted from the handheld, regardless of what order they were scanned.

Summary Screen

Labels and receipts can be printed at the end of every scanned transaction, or you can wait until all scanning is completed before printing everything at once.

Receipt Printing

Both dot-matrix and wireless bluetooth printing outputs are available to print from a handheld*. User may elect to print in a single column or a multiple column format.
*A laser printer output is also available from a SETS Workstation.

Label Printing

Extra serial number labels can be printed from an existing transaction (SN batch) or print them “on demand” one at a time.
